UI/UX Design Intern
Design clean, intuitive interfaces for the Strom Bot dashboard and website alongside our product team.
About the role
Strom is looking for a UI/UX Design Intern to help shape how millions of Discord users configure their servers. You will work directly with engineering and product on real, shipping features — from the per-server dashboard to the public website — turning rough ideas into polished, usable flows. This is a hands-on internship built for recent Computer Science / IT graduates who want to break into product design with a real portfolio to show for it. Stipend is based on skill and the work you ship, with a strong path to a full-time offer for top performers.
What you'll do
- Design wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma
- Translate product requirements into clean, accessible UI for the dashboard and website
- Build and maintain reusable components in our design system
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs ship pixel-accurately
- Run quick usability checks and iterate on feedback
- Help craft icons, illustrations, and marketing visuals when needed
What we're looking for
- 2025 or 2026 graduate in Computer Science, IT, or a related computer stream
- A portfolio or coursework showing UI/UX or visual design work
- Working knowledge of Figma (or similar) for design and prototyping
- Solid grasp of layout, typography, color, and spacing fundamentals
- Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design
- Available for a full-time internship and able to work remotely
Nice to have
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries
- Basic HTML/CSS or React knowledge to collaborate with engineers
- Motion or interaction design experience
- Active Discord user familiar with bots and server setup
